DEAN BEAVER - PGA CLASS AA GOLF PROFESSIONAL
Dean started playing golf at the age of 11, picking up an old mixed set of golf clubs from a second hand shop whilst away with family on holiday. Instantly falling in love with the game, but it wasn’t until the age of 15 that he decided he'd like to make a living from golf professionally. After school he studied at Myerscough College, as well as working at a local golf store part time, through this time his playing credentials grew, picking up various honours at his local golf club, captaining scratch league events and competing with success at many coveted local amateur events over the years. Dean moved on to an assistant professional's role, offering him valuable experience in retailing and coaching. Through his years in the industry Dean has been fortunate enough to work alongside a number of highly respected PGA golf coaching specialists, and it’s through working with these specialists as well as further education that has lead him to developing a sound understanding of the golf swing and its principles. As well as being a fully qualified Class AA PGA Professional, Dean has attended many CPD (continuous personal development) courses, gaining numerous accreditation's. Today he works under the umbrella of the Lancashire Golf Academy and is based at Shaw Hill golf resort & spa hotel. Dean is regularly available in the professional shop to offer advice or assistance. As well as offering his coaching services at Shaw Hill Golf Resort, he is also available for coaching/custom fitting at the Driving Range by appointment only. From rank novice to county players and above, Dean uses a forward thinking ‘cause & effect’ process with the use of factual data to back up his methods, thoughts and feelings. |
